This is my seventh year teaching elementary education. For four years I taught special education, and this is my third year teaching first grade! I spent my first year of teaching in the Philippines where I taught elementary special education. During this time I had the opportunity to travel across South East Asia. I love traveling and have also traveled to South America when I was in college. In 2006 I graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education. I also have an Early Childhood Endorsement. Currently I am working toward my Masters as a K-12 Reading Specialist.
My free time is spent traveling, playing tennis, teaching piano, scrapbooking, decorating cakes, and attending a Bible study. I grew up in West Michigan and love living in this area.
